My Spartan Internet Intern Experience

When I first came to Spartan Internet, I didn’t know much about the ins and outs of internet marketing. Now, I think it’s safe to say that in the few months I have been with the Spartan Internet team, I’ve learned a lot more than I ever thought I would.  My experience so far has opened my eyes to an industry that’s really exciting to be a part of.

Caps, Gowns, and a Bean

It’s that time of year again when college kids take to books, all nighters at the library and excessive doses of caffeine. That two week stretch after the Thanksgiving break until the end of the semester is the final push for college students. For me, it’s my last final push.

On December 10th I’m graduating. I’ll officially be an MSU Alumna and have a college degree. Whoa.

Navigation Report With a Bean

When working with a website, especially an ecommerce one, it’s important to know about the browsing habits of your visitors through a Navigation Summary. For the past two weeks I’ve been putting together a Navigation Summary for one of our biggest clients in light of their homepage redesign.

By completing this report, I get an inside look at the website’s most popular pages. But not only do I discover the most viewed but I find very valuable content about each page:

Flexibility in the Workplace

Now, I like to think I’m a pretty busy person. I’m a student with a full course load and I work part time at Spartan Internet performing online marketing duties including search engine optimization and PPC management, which is more than you think.

The Passing of the Torch

Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to represent Spartan Internet at the Michigan State University Earn, Learn and Intern career event with fellow MAP team member, Jordan. I donned my fancy pants (I actually wore a dress, but I did wear heels, and that is a rare occasion!) and Jordan rocked a power tie.

Conference Calls at 11pm: Impacting Businesses Around the Globe

While I have great plans to travel the world, traveling abroad doesn’t really fit within the scope of my short-term goals. On the bright side, Spartan Internet provides me with opportunities to work with some really great global companies.

The two companies with whom I most like to work are both multi-national companies boasting many, many millions of dollars in revenue each year, huge corporate structures, and some of the greatest business-minds in the world. And I get to work directly with them on a daily basis!

Not too bad for a senior in college, eh?

Search Engine Optimizing From A Cave in Puerto Rico

Possibly the greatest part of working at Spartan Internet, aside from the awesome coworkers, is the flexibility.

The day that I started writing this post, I also started my last semester of college. Transitioning from one stage of my life to the next is always going to be scary, but at the same time, I realize that I have so many opportunities ahead for me, especially here at Spartan Internet.

Spartan Internet Has Some Fun…With a Bean!

We work really hard, here at Spartan Internet. But we also like to have a bit of fun.

Just a little bit of fun :-D

I can write to you every Friday about paid search marketing and other internet-related jargon, but I think it’s important to focus on the human side of Spartan Internet, as well.

And, of course, what could be more human than writing about the preferred break-activities of some of us on the Monthly Acceleration Program team?
