Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) is a 222 bed hospital in Portsmouth, Ohio with over 2,200 employees. SOMC had a website that wasn't user friendly. It was confusing, poorly designed and was hard to navigate. They had a high bounce rate. Nurses didn't have a great intranet to keep track of departments, patients, procedures and hospital news.

Spartan Internet created a business plan for SOMC that outlined a new, sleek site that was user friendly for both patients and employees. With a searchable directory, news feeds, a press release and article section and employee spotlights, we provided the insight needed to help SOMC connect with their patients in a more meaningful manner.

Physicians can better communicate with nursing staff through a sleek online system and hospital administrators can make and mark important announcements within the internal system.
