Interning at Spartan Internet: My Cup of Tea
Last Friday, I had the challenge (aka responsibility) to post the blogs, which is a task I’ve never been assigned to do. It is also a task that no one who was in the office at the moment knew how to do; which, obviously, presented itself to be an issue.
So I sat down, logged into our system and figured it out. Granted it took a while, but I got it. And let me tell you, it was great.
I was proud of myself. I faced a major road block, and I took the reins and figured it out (which isn’t always easy).
Last week I sat down with The Boss, and we discussed my time here at Spartan Internet. Of course I was a tad nervous, because I’m always nervous, but in preparation for the meeting I made a list of my accomplishments while here at Spartan. While I can write it on one page of legal paper (front and back, mind you) it’s quite the list. I get to go to work and LOVE what I do, and how many people can actually say that?
I’m 65 days away from college graduation and I’m learning more than I ever thought I could. Spartan Internet provides an environment in which I can experience everything I put my mind to.
I get to voice my opinion on website designs for huge clients and see the process. Over 1,400 hours are logged to redesign and implement a total rebranding and I get to witness and participate from start to finish. This may be my coolest opportunity to date.
I love my coworkers and the projects that come my way. I participate in meetings. My voice is heard and respected and I am truly honored to write Junior Consultant at Spartan Internet on my resume and tell people about my job. A close knit company like this is just my cup of tea. And boy, do I like tea.
