The Spartan Internet Political Performance (SIPP) Index is the first quantitative metric to measure the Internet-wide performance of each Presidential candidate for the 2008 election. The Index is comprised of over 650 quantitative factors measuring the level of support and how well each candidate is connecting with individuals across the Internet.
The score for each candidate represents their overall Internet market share.

Internet Presidential Performance Index Released before Iowa Caucuses
01-03-08 - Spartan Internet Consulting has released the Internet Political Performance Index results for the week of December 27th - January 2nd. Barack Obama is currently maintaining a strong hold on the Democratic field at 19.69 percent and Ron Paul is leading the GOP field at 17.19 percent.  The most notable gainers include John Mccain, up 0.77 percent, and Mike Huckabee, up 0.55 percent for the week.

10-18-07 - The past 3 months show varying sophistication in candidate success in engaging with people online. Many candidates’ official campaign sites were not well positioned for key search terms and in some cases don’t show up under their own name.
2008 Presidential Election Internet Performance Index -- September 6 Results
09-06-07 - Spartan Internet Consulting has released the Political Performance Index results for the week of August 30 - September 5, with Hillary Clinton strengthening her second position ranking with 11.71 percent. The most notable gainers included Chris Dodd up 0.28 percent, John McCain up 0.30 percent and Fred Thompson up 0.22 percent.
2008 Presidential Election Internet Performance Index -- August 30 Results
08-30-07 - Spartan Internet Consulting has released the Political Performance Index results for the week of August 23-29, with Hillary Clinton taking over the second position with 11.60 percent. The most notable gainers included Rudy Giuliani and Mike Gravel with increases of 0.42 percent and 0.32 percent, respectively.

08-23-07 - Spartan Internet Consulting has released the first SIPP index results for the week of August 16th- 22nd, with Barack Obama ranked highest for the week with a score of 21.29 percent. The most notable gainers included John Edwards and Dennis Kucinich with increases of 0.43 percent and 0.37 percent, respectively.
